As of some of the rest of the country, people in Ferguson were protesting about some of the horrors that happened this week. Due to the protests, a country concert had to be postponed.
The Justice Department has just filed a lawsuit against the city of Ferguson, Missouri. The departments filing the suit so that they can try and end violations by the Ferguson police department and municipal court. They have decide to do this after Ferguson rejected a deal that would negotiate reforming the police department as a whole.
Amonderez Green was an 18 year old boy who was killed recently after a confrontation with police near Ferguson. People desperately want answers after they were put under the impression that Green committed suicide. In a horrifying video of the shooting, you can clearly her Green screaming for police to spare his life as he screams, “Don’t kill me.”
It was supposed to be a day of peaceful protests in memory of Mike Brown, an unarmed black teen that was gunned down by a white police officer this time last year. However things turned violent after a police officers shot and critically injured a man who fired at them during the gathering in Ferguson, Mo. Read more below.
