On October 3, Amber Rose will hold her first annual Slut Walk in Los Angeles, an already-existing event that has taken place all over the country to help women in the fight against sexual injustice, victim blaming, derogatory labeling and gender inequality. 6,000 people have already purchased their tickets to attend (making the event sold out,) and with a little under a month to go, $50k of the $65k goal has been raised by supporters (including Nicki Minaj, Nick Cannon and more.) Per her site, funds collected will go to the Amber Rose Power Foundation, which will distribute it to various organizations who help women who have been forced to face adversity in the form of slut shaming, a lack of implication of double standards, sexual assault, rape and more. Now Amber wants to make the event even more major, and adding to on-site services such as HIV testing, sexual awareness booths, food vendors and more, she’s hoping to have some performances from some big names!
