A recent article I ready about Machine Gun Kelly described him best: “the last rap-rocker standing, an amalgamation of vintage Fred Durst’s snotty hubris and modern Eminem’s stadium-sized sincerity.” The Cleveland rapper is an interesting hybrid of rapper/rockstar, and over the weekend, he played at Korn’s annual Family Values concert in Denver, being the only rapper on a full rock lineup. This isn’t the first time he’s had an experience like this, as he played the Warped Tour a couple of years back, but it was definitely the biggest scale he’s done it on. “I haven’t been that nervous before a show in a long time,” he admitted to fans following the performance. “So much sh*t was on my f#cking mind, I hope I cleared it all out of my brain with the performance and I hope I introduced everyone who wasn’t familiar with MGK to the movement the right way. I’ll be back for a headlining show soon!! Thanks Korn and Family Values for having us! LTFU!” Check out his backstage photos in the gallery. Judging by fan reactions on Twitter, I think it’s safe to say, despite his nerves, the show was a success!
