After releasing the R&B edition of his ‘She Knows’ remix last month with Trey Songz, The-Dream and T-Pain, Ne-Yo re-ups by recruiting Fabolous, Juicy J and French Montana.
Last night, two men by the name of De’Von “Day Day” Pickett and Eric Parker were involved in a bar fight in Philadelphia, resulting in Day Day being stabbed to death, and Eric fighting for his life in the hospital. I’m truly sad to report this, as Day Day was a friend of mine and one of the sweetest people in the business. The men had been in Philly for tour rehearsals, as reported by both Nicki Minaj and Fabolous. (I’m slightly confused on Nicki and Fab’s posts, as they both said “my” tour. I’m going to assume that they are going on tour together?) Day Day also worked as road manager for Pusha T, who posted a heartfelt tribute upon hearing the news.
Monday night, Chris Brown and Trey Songz’ Between The Sheets tour rolled through New York at the Barclay’s Center, and backstage was a who’s who in entertainment! Spotted in the building were Fabolous and his step-daughter Taina, Lil Wayne’s daughter Reginae, Chris’ boo thang Karrueche, her BFF Christina Milian, Christina’s sisters/E! co-stars, Ty Dolla $ign, G-Unit, Fetty Wap and more! Check out some pics from the night in the gallery, and video of Fetty performing “Trap Queen” during Trey’s set below.
Fabolous is one of the few rappers I will vouch for when it comes to knowing his sports. There is a reason he has been on ESPN multiple times, or drops sports related bars in his songs. It’s cause he pays attention so he knows what he is talking about. The “throwback king” may have gotten a little older and graduated to other types of fashion, but his love of the game remains. Now I don’t agree with all his points about the upcoming playoffs, but I can at least respect his opinion. You other rappers need to stop frontin’!
Over the weekend, Hit-Boy celebrated his 2015 Grammy nomination for Album Of The Year with a black-tie soiree and live performance by his HS87 artist, Preston Harris, above the Hollywood Hills in Los Angeles. The star-studded evening was sponsored by G-Shock, D’USSE and Red Bull and included guests among the likes of Fabolous, Sevyn Streeter, Casey Veggies, K. Roosevelt, SZA, yours truly and many more.
