(Video) NBA: Evan Turner Finishes Off The Lakers With A Nasty Dunk, Then Apologizes

In my opinion he didn’t need to do this, but it is what it is. The Sixers beat the Lakers last night and the game was already basically won when Evan Turner broke away and slammed down a dunk contest style dunk just before the buzzer. I assume he felt like maybe he disrespected the Lakers by finishing like that but he did no wrong. These dudes are pros and if they felt a certain way then maybe they should work harder. (Video) NBA: Evan Turner Says “Motherf**ker” Not Realizing He’s Live On Air

Like several other teams the Philadelphia 76ers held their media day yesterday but theirs was noticeably more lowkey.  The Sixers are clearly in rebuilding mode or as some like to call it “tanking”.  The team still has to be covered however and as one media outlet set to interview Evan Turner, he brought some life to the dreary day.  Read more after the jump.

NBA: Coach Brett Brown Assures Evan Turner The Sixers Won’t Try to Lose on Purpose

The Philadelphia 76ers are expected to take quite a tumble and be on the bottom of the league standings next year.  The team that once showed such promise and defeated the Bulls (albeit without Derrick Rose), has since been gutted (Iguodala gone, Jrue Holiday gone, Bynum a no show & now gone) and now they have a brand new head coach with no head coaching experience.  It would seem like they’re in tank mode with the Boston Celtics but coach Brett Brown assures Evan Turner that isn’t the case.  Read more after the jump.
