UPDATE: Iggy Azalea responded to Erykah Badu’s apology video via Twitter, saying that she accepts and appreciates it. She even went as far as to acknowledge Badu’s joke about her kids loving Iggy but acting up in school. She said, “Tell the kids I’m a big fan of mom, even if we don’t agree where to file my music in their iTunes folder.” She then revealed she will be going on tour soon & invited Erykah’s kids and friends (if they have good grades) to a show anytime. While hosting Ms. Badu took a shot at Iggy Azalea while acting out a skit. While answering a pretend cell phone, Badu said, “Who is this? Iggy Azalea? Yeah, hey… no, no, no, you can come, ’cause what you doin’ is definitely not rap.” Following the awards, Iggy came back from her social media hiatus to respond to the comments. Since then things got quiet between the two, that was until Erykah Badu opened up her Twitter for a Q&A with fans. The funniest part about the video is that she said she wasn’t going to mention his name, but flashed a sign that said “Common” in the background.
Nas To Produce Soundtrack For Cleveland Film ‘The Land’ (Starring MGK, Erykah Badu + More)
Nas has been tapped as the executive producer of Steve Caple Jr.‘s forthcoming film The Land, as well as the curator to its soundtrack. Per the press release, The Land “follows four teenage boys who pursue professional skateboarding as a way escaping the streets of Cleveland, only to get caught up with a local drug queen-pin.” Its stars include Cleveland native Machine Gun Kelly, as well as Erykah Badu, Michael K. Williams, Kim Coates and more.

When Erykah Badu is performing, all phones must be put away. Unfortunately for Tyrese, I am guessing he did not receive the memo. During the 2015 Soul Train Awards, Ms. Badu hit the stage to perform “Phone Down” when she realized TGT crooner Tyrese was rudely chatting away on his cell. She quickly got off stage and went right down to him to scold him for talking during her performance.
