George Bush Speaks On Grand Jury Decision in the Eric Garner case, and Bush is the last person we would expect to comment, but now that he has, what is he talking about?? I get him saying it’s sad, and he’s right, but talking about ‘remembering back to race riots in the 70’s’, what about remembering back to Katrina, and not landing to be with the people?? How about remembering back to stealing the election(twice) by not letting Black people vote in his Brothers state(Gov Jed Bush) of Florida?? And the protests at his inaugural ceremony??
Derrick Rose made quite a statement on Saturday night when he donned a “I Can’t Breathe” shirt in support of Eric Garner during warmups prior to the Chicago Bulls game against the Golden State Warriors. Rose is normally one of the quieter players in the league but decided to take a public stance against the non-indictment of police officer Daniel Pantoleo in the choking death of Eric Garner. Cleveland Cavaliers superstar, LeBron James says Derrick Rose’s gesture is spectacular and says he’s looking to do the same.
Derrick Rose took a major stand on Saturday night and joined the masses in support of Eric Garner by wearing a “I Can’t Breathe” shirt during warmups prior to the Chicago Bulls game against the Golden State Warriors.
NYPD Officer Chokes Handcuffed Man, believe it or not, it was the same night as the decision of the grand jury not indicting over Eric Garner, and it’s just sickening to watch, considering all things going on, America protesting for systemic change, for justice. These cops prove they can not be trusted, they are not respectful, or compassion, I mean a man died from a chokehold that they are not supposed to be using…
As you may know, the officer who is responsible for the death of Eric Garner was not indicted. This news was delivered shortly after the non-indictment of the now former Officer Darren Wilson, who is responsible for the murder of teenager Michael Brown. Many celebrities took to social media and expressed their disappointment in Americas justice system. Some even went as far as protesting the streets of NY and Missouri on behalf of both victims that were clearly of African American decent. On Thursday, Gabrielle Union interviewed with HuffPost’s Live host Marc Lamont Hill. They discussed a series of topics, one being the recent news of Eric Garner. Union expresses her feelings of the lack of compassion in these tragic situations stating: “You have to have a complete lack of humanity to not at least acknowledge that there’s a whole chunk of our country and the world that experiences life and all that it has to offer differently. Have compassion for the pain. Have compassion for that difference. Have compassion that a man has lost his life after pleading repeatedly — 11 times — ‘I cannot breathe.” Watch the video below as Gabrielle Union Comments On The Eric Garner Case
