Sarah Hoildahl, a 22 year old single mother, works as a server at Ruby Tuesday in Concord, New Hampshire. Two members from the National Guard were sat in her section and soon Sarah over heard the soldier’s conversation about not being paid because of the government shut down and furloughs. Upon hearing this the single mother decided lunch would be on her, writing the message on a napkin to the patrons.
