An EgyptAir flight that was going from Paris to Cairo has now disappeared from the radar. The airlines media center says they will keep everyone updated on any new information.
An EgyptAir flight from Cairo to New York City was grounded in Glasgow’s Prestwick Airport after a note was found in the bathroom of the aircraft. A BBC producer, Nada Tawfik, spotted the note saying “I’ll set this plane on fire.” and alerted the crew immediately. British fighter jets were able to escort the plane to the ground safely with no injures to an of the crew or passengers. Following some inspections of the plane and questioning of the 326 passengers, the flight should continue to New York. I have personally flown out of Cairo airport more times than I can count and trust me security there does NOT play, so I’m sure the treat was just a hoax. We will have more on the story as it develops.
