By now, we’ve all heard Remy Ma’s diss track to Nicki Minaj, “ShETHER,” riddled with direct jabs and some pretty outlandish accusations about the Queens rapper. One of the craziest accusations? Oh, just that Nicki slept with former Hot97 Program Director and current morning show host, Ebro Darden.

Hot 97’s Ebro Darden has some history with Rae Sremmurd. At the end of 2015, Complex listed the duo’s debut album, SremmLife, as the third best album of the year – a spot that didn’t sit right with Ebro. In an interview with the makers of the list, he said the guys were dope but in no way deserved to be number 3, particularly because, according to him, they don’t write their own rhymes. It’s been on ever since.

On Yachty’s new mixtape, ‘Summer Songs 2,’ he has a song called ‘For Hot 97.’ The song was to show Ebro and the team that he could really spit. Ebro took this as a diss.
