Azealia Banks has officially gained the title as the social media Shade Queen of 2015. It seems that every time the Harlem femcee hops on any type of social media, she causes mass hysteria and comes for like 20 different people at the same time. The victims of her latest rant? Iggy Azalea and Ebony Magazine. Banks took to her Twitter to post a photo of an article featured in Ebony Magazine comparing her to Australian rapper, Iggy Azalea. “The only time I made it 2 ebony magazine was in discussion of another white woman. Black media is counter-productive,” she wrote. “I beg black media publications to stop covering Azealia Banks. You have done the MOST to damage my brand.” Take a look at her full rant in the gallery. Do you agree or disagree with Azealia? Sound off below.
I personally LOVE EBONY’s cover for their September 2015 issue. This is all shades of black beauty featuring Chantelle Winnie, Milan Dixon, Fatima Siad, Marquita Pring, Diandra Forrest and Samantha Archibald and honey they are serving on this cover! Read more after the jump!
Pharrell is draped up and dripped out in a set of pearls – yes, pearls – as his youthful mug graces the cover of Ebony Magazine’s 2014 men’s issue. Ebony highlights the producer/artist’s longevity in the music game and the success he’s attained while making hit records. Drop down bottom for more.
Her black is damn sure beautiful! The versatile actress, Taraji P. Henson snags the cover of Ebony Magazine’s Oct. 2014 issue and as always, she keeps us entertained. In between the classy and sexy photo shoot, the editors were able to sit Taraji down to find out things such as the body part Taraji thinks will need to be fixed in five years and her guilty pleasure. “Watching ratchet, ratchet television,” she mentions about that last one. Check out more on Taraji after the jump.
No sooner after Carmelo and Lala graced the cover, Nick and Mariah followed-up Ebony Magazine’s “Black Love,” issue looking head over heels. The two suit up and cover each other in intimate touches, showing the 5+ year relationship of love. “It was early on when I found out how spiritual she was, and we had conversations about kids and how to live life. For her to share these values, it instantly let me know this is the person I’ve always wanted,” Nick says about making Mariah his main squeeze. …and then, they had the twins. “Having babies definitely strengthened our bond because all the love that you have for each other is manifested into these two incredible beings,” Mariah added. Ohhhh… More in the gallery!
