4:45pm EST UPDATE: According to tweets from various New York news outlets at a press conference earlier today, 21 firearms were confiscated during yesterday’s raid. His bail is currently set at $2 million. The GS9 crew – which NYPD say are members of the Crips – had been under investigation for two years before they were arrested. Special Narcotics Prosecutor Bridget Brennan detailed how the sale of crack cocaine supplied funds for the crew to purchase firearms, and reportedly called the guys “mindless thugs.”

It was soon apparent though that Swift had some demons in his life and drugs pretty much derailed his career. Last year he was arrested for squatting in a home even though he made more than $11 million from his short playing days. Now he has much bigger legal problems.

Chris Brown recently caught up with Ebro on his Hot 97 Morning show. Chris Brown finally opens up about a lot of touchy topics like how his drug use affected his life and work, jail, Rihanna, Drake, and much more. “I was turnin’ up, off the syrup, the Xanax,” Chris replied when asked about his past drug issues. When asked about what the drugs did to him, Chris replied “I was falling asleep on video sets, I was cussin’ people out randomly. I was doin’ crazy stuff.” He continued by saying “I would wake up, ask my homies ‘Ey man so what time we gotta shoot this video?’ and they’d say ‘Dude, we shot it yesterday.’” Chris said that “when I started seeing it started affecting my work and what I was doing” he came to a decision to “chill out” and “get up off” the drugs. He does say in the interview that he continues to smoke weed because, as he says “marijuana never messes me up.” Watch the entire video after the jump.

I guess Amanda Bynes didn’t hear Rick James when he said, “Cocaine is a hell of a drug” because maybe if she listened, she wouldn’t be such a hotmess.com. The former childhood actress has been having a terrible year from the drugs, the mental issues and who knows what else. She was recently in NYC partying by herself at the Gilded Lily nightclub on Monday night when fans started snapping pictures, causing Bynes to lose it. She lashed out on one of the females, “scratching and clawing her neck and arms.” The victim says that even though she suffered physical injuries, she’s “still a fan” and doesn’t want to press charges. SMH. The next day on Tuesday morning, Bynes was spotted in Bloomingdales mumbling incoherently and walking around with one shoe on.
