Today marks the 2nd anniversary of DJ AM’s tragic death. AM, whose real name was Adam Michael Goldstein, was a DJ, TV show host, record producer and a self-proclaimed sneaker head. AM was a member of rock band Crazy Town, worked with artists such as Blink 182/Travis Barker, Will Smith, Papa Roach, and Madonna. AM was found dead in his New York City apartment from a drug overdose. AM, who had spent time in rehab for drug addiction, had relapsed after a plane crash on September 19, 2008 in which he lost a friend and almost died. AM sustained severe burns to his hands and head, but eventually made a full recovery. After taking time off from DJing after the plane crash, AM returned to the ones and twos during a Jay-Z concert.
