Congratulations to Drew Brees for breaking Dan Marino’s 27-year old record for most passing yards in a single season on Monday night.  Marino was the first quarterback ever to throw for over 5,000 yards in a season, and he also did it on a Monday night in just his second year in the league. Here’s a look back at Marino’s record-breaking season.  Check it out after the jump. @Shay_Marie x @gametimegirl

Posted by Sabrina B. @gametimegirl Wow, Congrats to Drew Brees! Drew Brees has broken the NFL record for yards passing in a season, surpassing a mark that had stood since Dan Marino set it in 1984.
Posted by Sabrina B. @gametimegirl Drew Brees threw for 412 yards and five touchdowns to lead the surging Saints to their sixth win in a row, 42-20 over the free-falling Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.
Posted by Sabrina B. @gametimegirl Dan Marino long ago moved to the comfort of the broadcast booth. His passing record of 5,084 yards, set in 1984, has withstood strong-armed challenges for more than a quarter-century.
