After Snupe gave Meek one of his demos at Grambling State University, he received a call from Meek, who saw “potential in him,” in less than an hour. He would go on to sign with Meek’s label. A Little Motivation For Upcoming Artists: Meek Mill Signed Lil Snupe Only 20 MINUTES After Meeting Him!
I just came across a story from my good friends over at MTV, and I’m excited to share it with you guys, since I know a lot of you are trying to come up in the music game! Lil Snupe met Meek Mill not too long ago, and he was able to turn their meeting into a record deal within 20 minutes using the old school approach: handing him his demo. While Meek was in Louisiana for a tour stop at the end of 2012, Snupe and his team made sure to find him after the show and like most upcoming artists do, hand him his latest project. A lot of times, artists will disregard the tapes and throw them to the wayside, but Meek immediately popped it into the player in his van. 20 minutes later, he was calling Snupe and telling him he had a home at Dreamchasers Records! The pair explain the story in full below. How dope is that, though? You never know when your moment can be, guys!
