Most of us have been harsh on Draymond Green and his affinity for hitting below the belt but on Sunday night, he showed why he’s the heart and soul of the Warriors team. After sitting in the locker room stunned at what just occurred, Green got up, walked back on the court amid the Cavaliers celebration, on his home court, and congratulated his opponents.

The Cleveland Cavaliers won game five of the NBA Finals thanks to the combined performance of Lebron James & Kyrie Irving, who together put up 82 points and gave the Cavs some life again. Many people believe the game would’ve never gone that way if Draymond Green hadn’t been suspended for hitting Lebron in the balls during game four. According to reports, behind the scenes the Cavs were lobbying anyone who would listen that Green should have gotten a two game suspension.

Since GSW Draymond Green was banned from playing or attending Game 5 due to all the shenanigans that have been going on, he opted to get a suite next door at the Oakland A’s game to be close to the Oracle Arena where his team faced the Cavs last night.

On Sunday the league announced that Draymond Green received a flagrant foul and LeBron James received a technical foul for an incident that happened between them during Game 4. Since it was Green’s fourth flagrant foul in the postseason, he was suspended for Game 5 of the NBA Finals. Many assumed it was LeBron’s complaining that pushed the league to suspend Draymond; he previously hit Steven Adams in the groin twice as well as others but hitting LeBron was the final straw. LeBron also complained that Draymond called him a word – reportedly “bi–h” – that was very disrespectful. During the press conference for the upcoming game, Klay Thompson said LeBron got his feelings hurt. LeBron said he’s going to continue to take the high road.
