As Yo Gotti says, “it goes down in the DM” and that statement is absolutely a fact. We all can remember a few moments where people have been super thirsty to hop in our DM’s whether on Instagram or Twitter. Cardi B shares some of her crazy DM stories and also how to approach her in the DM or if you even should try to approach her at all.
It’s no secret that rapper Yo Gotti has a major crush on Rev Run’s daughter Angela Simmons. He’s made several public advances towards the “Growing Up Hip Hop” star including, sliding in her DMs and then shouting her out in his latest song “Down in the DM.” It now seems that his borderline “thirsty” behavior may have worked because the two were spotted together at a charity event for Simmons’ latest endeavor. Prior to the event, Yo Gotti sent Angela flowers to congratulate her, which she thanked him for via Instagram and just a few hours later the two were photographed together at the event looking rather cozy. Yesterday we shared the story about a thirsty woman exposing Chandler Parsons after he DM’ed her his phone number. She really didn’t need to share it with the world, but some women just love the attention so it’s just what they do. It’s a risk these ballers are taking. Well after the story went viral, Chandler took to Twitter to react to the situation with a great response. Not only that, but fellow NBA player Joel Embiid (who’s very vocal & entertaining on Twitter) had something to say about it all. Check it out…
A story is making its rounds on social media and blogs today, showing what appears to be a DM from Wale to a fan, agreeing to quit making music if the fan secured 10k RT’s. The interaction seemed a bit funny, as Wale would have to have been following the random fan to even exchange DM’s, as well as the fact that Wale allegedly wrote, “b*tches love me”…which doesn’t sound very Wale’ish at all. After we shared the story, the MMG rapper himself reached out to Funk Flex, and confirmed that the alleged DM is a Photoshopped image, and he will not be quitting rap any time soon. Even if the DM was real, it would be silly for someone as successful as Wale to quit rap! So, there you have it – this rumor is FALSE and we can expect more music from the D.C. native for quite some time to come!
