This guy Gerald Green has HOPS in case you didn’t already know. The Indiana Pacers were all over the Detroit Pistons last night leading by as many as 43 points. D.J. Augustin threw up this alley to a high flying Green on a fast break that just had to kill whatever spirits the Pistons had left. Check it out after the jump.
(Video) NBA: Will Bynum Ejected For Punching Tyler Hansbrough During Pistons/Pacers Game
The Palace is known for an infamous brawl that occurred between the Pistons and the Pacers and while this one is much more subdued I think it’s kind of ironic. It also shows how the times have changed, cause an act like this back in the days might have both benches cleared. Pistons guard, Will Bynum, was ejected during the fourth quarter of Saturday night’s game at The Palace after punching Pacers’ Tyler Hansbrough in the stomach area. Hansbrough was seen doubled over holding his stomach after Bynum swung his arm. Bynum was given a flagrant-two call and ejected from the game. Read more after the jump.
NBA:(Video) Charlie Villanueva Defends Himself After Being Called Dirty Player
I have a few issues with this! First off let me explain. Charlie Villanueva of the Detroit Pistons was fined $25,000 by the NBA for a hard flagrant foul on Kings point guard Isaiah Thomas. No, not that Isiah Thomas, the new one lol. Anyway, my issue is once you watch the video below I think you will agree the foul really was not that hard. Secondly, why does Thomas try to get in Villanueva’s face like he is going to do something, he is half his size. (Video) NBA: Joe Johnson Hits Buzzer-Beater to Defeat Pistons in Double Overtime
What initially appeared to be a snoozer turned out to be an exciting game as the Brooklyn Nets and Detroit Pistons went into double overtime. Shockingly they weren’t saved by superstar point guard Deron Williams who in fact has been struggling offensively this season. Williams actually is shooting 38% from the field and wasn’t much of a factor during the overtime periods. Who did finally step up was their big acquisition Joe Johnson formerly known as “Average Joe” and “Ski Mask Joe” for obvious reasons.
