Desiigner is killing the streets right now. Panda is the number 1 song in the country, so you know the world is in on it. We even get President Obama singing it on a mash-up. Too funny!
Talk about making moves, Desiigner has just been named the first NY rapper since Jay-Z to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Since the year 2000, there has only been six NYC rappers to hit that top spot on the chart with a lead artist. It had not been done before since today since Jay-Z’s ‘Empire State of Mind’ hit the chart in 2009.
Love him or hate him, Desiigner now has the number one song in the entire country. Revealed just moments ago, this week’s Billboard Hot 100 list sees “Panda” at the top spot, moving up from runner-up last week and dethroning Rihanna and Drake’s “Work” in the process. While he has yet to release a follow-up record, the way things are going now, it’s possible the “one hit wonder” stigma will float right past him, as it did Fetty Wap. Is Brooklyn in the house?!
It looks like Jermaine Dupri might have been throwing a little bit of shade at rapper Desiigner on Twitter.
While performing at a concert in Syracuse, N.Y. Future noticed in a certain section of the stadium the crowd was not as loud on one side of the stadium as it was throughout the rest of the stadium. When it came time to ask the crowd which side was the livest, One side wasn’t as live.
