Rose hit a deep three pointer and banked it off the backboard as the final buzzer sounded, giving the Bulls a 99-96 win over the Cavs and a 2-1 lead in the best of seven series. The moment Rose’s shot went through the basket, twitter, Instagram and the rest of social media platforms literally exploded with reactions. It sucks to see Derrick Rose injured again but we’ve seen this “will he or won’t he return” play out twice before and both times he went will the latter. This surgery was however much simpler than the ones prior and will require significantly less rehab.
