NBA: Coach Jason Kidd Says Nets ‘Getting Very Close to Just Accepting Losing’, Deron Williams Responds

Like the Lakers, the Brooklyn Nets got hit with the injury bug pretty early.  The Nets however have gotten some of their key pieces back in Deron Williams and Paul Pierce but lost a big piece in Brook Lopez for the rest of the season.  Still the Nets have been very disappointing so far with a 9-18 record and the 12th spot in the Eastern Conference.  After getting blown out by the Indiana Pacers on Monday, coach Jason Kidd felt his team had come to accept defeat.

The Brooklyn Nets won the game, but Chris Paul left with the highlight everyone was talking about. During the Nets win over the Clippers last night in Brooklyn, Chris Paul hit Deron with a nasty crossover that left him reaching for air and falling to the court. For what it’s worth, a little later in the game, Williams hit CP3 with a nice crossover as well, but nowhere near to the effect of what happened to him. Hit the jump for the video.


NBA: Deron Williams’ Possible Return Date

The Brooklyn Nets fell to 5-14 after the 4-13 New York Knicks pummeled them on Thursday night. The Nets have been hurt by a rash of injuries and soon they may get their starting point guard back in the lineup. According to ESPNNewYork.com, a team official confirmed that Deron Williams is expected to play Tuesday when the Nets take on the Boston Celtics.
