MLB: Yankees Re-Sign Derek Jeter For One Year
It is official. As of opening day next season, Derek Jeter will be the longest tenured player in the history of this great organization. This new contract for 1 year/$12 million replaces a player option Jeter had, that he could of walked away from if he wanted. This deal will make sure he spends a 20th season with the team and hopefully make one more run at a final championship. He was hurt for most of this past season, so this contract will give him the opportunity to end his career on the field instead of on the injured list. He is 9th on the all-time hit list and will look to add to his many accolades.

LOL, of course exotic dancers would have an opinion when a wealthy superstar who has shown his face in a strip club or two winds up engaged. Rick’s Cabaret in Manhattan, which is a place known for Yankees players and baseball players in general to “get away”, is especially sad to hear the news. “Say it ain’t so,” said Rick’s Cabaret Girl Monica. “Derek Jeter is the hottest athlete in all of sports. I don’t want him to be off the market!” Rick’s Cabaret Girl Lindsay agreed. “Derek Jeter is so handsome. I would love to meet him before he gets married. Haha! “We can throw him the greatest bachelor party ever,” promised Rick’s Cabaret Girl April. “Let’s see if he’s really engaged. I’m not so sure. First things first.” So there you have it.
