The Toronto Raptors are playing very well so far this year. They currently share the best record in the league (12-2) with the Memphis Grizzlies. One of the best players on the team is DeMar DeRozan. On Tuesday night he appeared on the Fan Night pre-game show on NBA TV to discuss the team. He also accidentally let some other information spill. DeMar DeRozan says Drake has a mixtape dropping in January.

This is one of those tough topics in sports. When someone asks a player do they think they are the best, if they are competitive enough it will be hard for them to say the name of an opposing player over their own. Sometimes though athletes have to be realistic and understand either their time has passed or just flat out their is someone better. D-Wade fell into the trap and while there is nothing wrong with saying he is the best SG in the NBA, many, many people, including myself would disagree quick!

Even famous people can be fooled just like the rest of us. Demar DeRozan, who is currently fighting for a roster spot on team USA, was out for a birthday dinner in Los Angeles last night when he thought he was meeting one of his favorite actors. It appeared Johnny Depp was standing just a few feet away and after some people took pics with him Demar himself walked over and began talking. At one point they even traded info, but the only thing is that wasn’t Depp it was an imposter. The guy who is doing it has done it before, including fooling an entire courtroom months ago. Sorry Demar, you will be ok though. Hit the jump.

The Nets had to hang on for dear life as the Raptors made a furious comeback late in the game after being down by 15 points. Brooklyn was able to hang on thanks to some late free throws from Joe Johnson and some missed free throws by Toronto to get the 102-98 win. Demar DeRozan went off for 30 points for the Raptors but it wasn’t enough in the end. Drake was not in attendance at the game, but he was in Toronto outside the Raptors arena watching the game with thousands of crazed Raptors fans. Check out what he had to say after the lose. He doesn’t seem to be stressing it.
