A bunch of my colleagues (and our very own Funk Flex!) are over at the Best Buy Theater right now for Vibe’s show with A-Trak, A$AP Rocky & the A$AP Mob and Pusha T. After Funk rocked the crowd with the opening set, Pusha took the stage with “I Don’t Like” then transitioned into some Clipse classics. (Thanks Erika for the heads up.) Meek Mill is setting the bar for his debut album pretty high claiming it will have the some greatest music of the year. Meek also promised fans that there will not be another push back on Dreams and Nightmares so fans can expect to hear it on October 30. Meek’s latest mixtape, DreamChasers 2, did crazy numbers and was pretty dope so we’ll have to wait and see what the album brings. Watch what he said below. Julie A.
The Weeknd Pens Letter To Fans Before Debut Album Drops
The Weeknd rose to popularity in the summer of 2011, but took his time in putting together his debut album Trilogy, which is set to release November 13th. He’s also been very scarce with music videos, having only just the other day put out his second video ever. Aware of the fans’ patience and their contribution to his career, the singer penned a letter to thank them and assure them he won’t be disappointing them. Read the heartfelt dedication below.
