Meek Mill proved that all of his controversy didn’t actually hurt him, as his mixtape, DC4, debuted at number 3 this week on the Billboard 200. The project sold a solid 87k, coming in just two thousand units behind Jeezy’s Trap or Die 3, which was an official album with a full marketing plan. That’s impressive!
Both Meek Mill and Jeezy had amazing debuts on the Billboard 200 this week. The pair were neck-in-neck, with Jeezy’s Trap or Die 3 hitting number 1 with 89k, and Meek’s DC4 coming in at number 3 with 87k! Though both projects were continuations of mixtape series’ the guys had started, only Meek’s was another tape, while Jeezy’s was an official album. Elsewhere in the top 10, Views dropped out of the top 5 for the first time ever, after spending a whopping 6 months there! This week, Drake landed at number 7 with 36k units. Outside of the top 10, A$AP Mob make their debut with Cozy Tapes Vol. 1, coming in at number 13 with 21k units solid. That’s a solid number! RIP A$AP Yams, whose pet project was this mixtape. 21 Savage and Metro Boomin‘s Savage Mode also made its debut, coming in at number 30 with 14k. Looking ahead to next week, we will see the debuts of Alicia Keys’ Here album, and Common’s Black America Again. Though numbers for Common aren’t in yet, early sales forecasts for Alicia are looking at 38-43k. In the meantime, check out this week’s top 10 below!

The Philly rapper got together with Quavo and Desiigner and pushed out his video for “The Difference”, the second visual in support of the mixtape. The three took to the streets to flex and you know Meek had to stunt with the Wraith and the Rollie!
Jeezy is either grabbing 1 or 2 on the charts after Trap Or Die 3 finishes it’s opening week.
