As we previously reported, Iraq war veteran Christopher Marquez, was attacked by a group of teens outside a D.C. McDonalds According to reports, Marquez was eating inside the fast food establishment when a group of teens asked him if Black lives mattered, Marquez ignored the group and continued eating. Upon leaving the restaurant, the 30 year-old was was knocked unconscious and then robbed, of his wallet, which contained $400 in cash, three credit cards and VA medical card and more. Marquez talked to “Fox & Friends” about the incident; “I’m telling this to everybody because it’s been happening a lot around here and across our country,” he continued, “It was a hate crime. They targeted me because of my skin color. So, we’re seeing a lot of these events of people being attacked because they’re white. And I’m thinking we have to speak up more about this because it’s just going to continue to happen.” Thursday afternoon, police released the surveillance of the beating and robbery. More below.
