Dave Grohl Debuts Supergroup At ‘Sound City’ Sundance Premiere !!!

Dave Grohl seemed to be living his rock and roll fantasy last night at the debut of the Sound City Players at the Sundance Film Festival’s Park City Live. Or at least putting the super in supergroup. “It’s going to be a long fucking night – you know that, right?” Grohl said to the cheering crowd before bringing 17 musicians on stage for three-plus hours of performances from Rage Against the Machine’s Brad Wilk, Queens of the Stone Age’s Alain Johannes, Nirvana’s Krist Novoselic, Masters of Reality’s Chris Goss, Lee Ving, Cheap Trick’s Rick Nielsen, Slip Knot’s Corey Taylor, Rick Springfield, John Fogerty and Stevie Nicks. Dave Grohl’s New Band AND Film Will Debut At Sundance!!!

Foo Fighters’ founder and former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl will debut a new film.. and a new band at the Sundance Film Festival, which starts on Jan. 17 in Park City, Utah. Rolling Stone reports the group, Sound City Players, will perform on Jan. 18 and include musicians who appear in his documentary Sound City, a history of the defunct, grungy recording studio in L.A.’s San Fernando Valley that produced Nirvana’s 1991 breakout album Nevermind — and hit music by Neil Young, Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty, Guns N’ Roses, Rage Against the Machine, Nine Inch Nails and Metallica. While the lineup has not been revealed, the film’s soundtrack features performances by Stevie Nicks, Josh Homme (Queens Of The Stone Age), and Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails). Russ B


Frances Bean Cobain Says Twitter Should Ban Her Mother Courtney Love

Apparently Courtney Love and the daughter she had with the late rocker Kurt Cobain are not on very good terms. It all stems from a tweet Courtney had sent out, alleging that Kurt’s former bandmate Dave Grohl had tried to hit on Frances recently.
