On his weekly radio show, Dallas Cowboys owner and GM Jerry Jones makes it clear that he has no intentions of ever relinquishing the GM title and hiring someone else to run the team. Now depending on your personal opinion that may or may not be a good idea, but many people inside and outside of Dallas have always wondered how would things be if Jones was to let go of that role and some of his control. NFL: Cowboys Still Want To Keep Tony Romo as Their Quarterback For the Rest of His Career

A week into the season there were reports the Cowboys had approached quarterback Tony Romo about a new contract though nothing immediately came of it. In 2007, Romo signed a six-year, $67 million deal and is set to make $9 million in 2012 and $11.5 million in 2013. Despite Dallas’ uneven start — they’re 3-4 so far — Romo, who has 15 turnovers (including a league-high 13 interceptions), remains in the organization’s long-term plans.  Read more after the jump. NFL: Troy Aikman Says Dallas Fans Go to Games to Be Seen Not to Cheer

Jerry Jones’s new stadium is big and fancy, but it doesn’t necessarily give the Cowboys much of a home-field advantage.  That’s the word from Hall of Fame former Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman, who says he doesn’t think Dallas fans are the type to loudly cheer their teams but are more the type to go to sporting events as social occasions.  Read more after the jump.
