(Video) NFL: Tony Romo Trolls Patriots About #DeflateGate at Academy of Country Music Awards

The Academy of Country Music awards went big and held their show at the AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys.  Of course that meant there would be appearances from the home team and sure enough Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo appeared as one of the presenters.

(Photos) NFL: Something We Don’t Know? Why Are The Cowboys Tweeting About Adrian Peterson?

Given the way the NFL likes to pick & choose when they feel like handing out discipline, I doubt this will fall under tampering, but it is pretty odd that the Dallas Cowboys twitter would talk about how Adrian Peterson being reinstated would make the Cowboys a contender. Peterson was officially reinstated earlier today. He is still a member of the Vikings so not sure how that makes Dallas a contender unless there are things in the works behind the scenes. But if so would Jerry Jones and the Cowboys be dumb enough to allow a tweet possibly signaling that to go out? Sports are full or rumors and this is just another one but it is intriguing. Sports: Tony Romo Promised Jahlil Okafor a Cowboys Super Bowl Win if Duke Won Championship

Welp, it looks like Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has a big debt to fill.  More than a year ago, Romo took a selfie with Jahlil Okafor.  At the time Okafor was slated to become a highly touted freshman at Duke and posted the selfie on Instagram with a “deal” he made with Romo.  Okafor fulfilled his end and now Romo is up.

(Video) NFL: Michael Irvin Literally Goes Insane Watching His Miami Hurricanes Play At MSG

Dallas Cowboys and Miami Hurricanes alumnus Michael Irvin is proud of his ‘Canes. His passion expands beyond the football team, apparently. With Miami coming back from a double-digit deficit to tie it at 53-53 with under four minutes to play in the NIT championship vs. Stanford at Madison Square Garden Thursday, Irvin became the focal point of the broadcast, with his emotions being more than a little obvious.

NFL: NOW the Cowboys Restructure Tony Romo’s Contract After DeMarco Murray Is Gone

Tony Romo revealed that DeMarco Murray asked him to take a pay cut so the Dallas Cowboys could work on a deal to keep him.  Romo said he would take the pay cut or restructure his contract because he really wanted to keep Murray on the team.  It wasn’t done however and Murray instead signed a five-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles worth up to $42 million.  NOW the Cowboys officially restructure Tony Romo’s contract to accommodate other players.

NFL: Tony Romo Says DeMarco Murray Asked Him to Take a Pay Cut

As the offseason approached it became clear that the Dallas Cowboys would have to choose between keeping star wide receiver Dez Bryant or star running back DeMarco Murray due to the salary cap.  The Cowboys placed a franchise tag on Bryant and tried to work on a deal to keep Murray but the money just wasn’t there.  Murray subsequently signed a five-year, $42 million contract with the Cowboys NFC East rival, the Philadelphia Eagles.  One of the reasons the Cowboys didn’t have enough money is because of the massive contract they gave to quarterback Tony Romo.
