It’s a heated battle between Team Breezy and the D.A., but Chris is not going down without a fight. No pun intended. Ha! After their court hearing today (because the D.A. said Chris lied about community service, therefore violating the terms of his probation and should be thrown in jail), Chris’ lawyer Mark Geragos filed their response, and says the prosecutors seemed to have conveniently left out major info from their case! Details below.
Chris Brown had to appear in court today to answer to the D.A.’s claims that he violated probation by faking his community service…and his ride-or-die Rihanna was right by his side! In the court room, Rihanna sat “quietly” alongside his mom and her bestie Melissa, as Chris and his lawyer Mark Geragos told the judge the singer did nothing wrong. The judge’s reply? He needs more time to review all of the evidence presented by the D.A., and Chris has to meet with his probation officer in the next 2 days to discuss everything. The next hearing has been scheduled for April 5th. This seemed like good news to Chris, who left the court room cheesing! Video and photos from the ordeal below, including his lawyer’s press conference outside following the hearing.
The D.A. is trying to get Chris Brown thrown in jail, claiming that a lot of his “documented” community service hours (that were required for his probation stemming from his infamous Rihanna altercation) were made up. He has alleged proof that there was no supervision at all on most instances, and that the supervisors that should have been watching just signed off on any dates Chris wrote up…when sometimes he wasn’t even in the same state. Chris’ lawyer released a statement yesterday calling the allegations ridiculous of course, and today, the head honcho at the main place of Breezy’s community service also came to his defense. See what Ida Minter from the Tappahannock Children’s Center said below.
Meek Mill attended a court hearing yesterday for his quartley appearance while he’s on probation. This time was a bit more eventful, as the D.A. had a stern warning for the MMG rapper: don’t mention her or ELSE! He mentions her on his track “The Ride” and alludes that she’s racist, and she wasn’t too happy about it. Below, Meek talks to Fox outside of the courtroom. Marisa Mendez
