Ladies, the time has finally come. According to U.S. Treasury Secretary Jack Lew, a woman will be featured on the new redesigned $10 dollar bill. The bill currently features Alexander Hamilton, but he is being replaced by a woman. Although that special lady has not yet been chosen, they’re currently in the process of doing so. “We’re going to spend a lot of time this summer listening to people,” Lew said on Wednesday when he announced the exciting news. The last female to appear on any type of currency was Martha Washington, who was on the $1 Silver Certificate between the years 1891 and 1896. Ladies, who do you think deserves the spot? The Federal Reserve will be releasing brand new, re-designed $100 bills tomorrow, in an ongoing effort to prevent counterfeiting. The new bills feature updated anti-counterfeit measures including raised printing, microprinting, and color shifting images. The old ones will be gradually removed from circulation by banks and the Federal Reserve.
Platinum Coins Solution To Debt Crisis?!?!
The New $1 Trillion Dollar Coins are made of platinum and could solve the American Debt Crisis. The way that the United States Federal Reserve prints money has legal restrictions, only a certain amount of gold and silver is allowed to be turned into coins. There is also a restriction on how much paper money can be in circulation at any given time.
