I never really thought about something like this happening but it does make sense. After last week’s terrible tragedy, a recent party hit has officially fallen on deaf ears. This hit went from #3 on the charts on Friday (the day of the massacre), with 167 million listeners nationwide. What’s Going On!? Another Connecticut School On Lockdown!
Police got a disturbing call this morning.There were reports of a man carrying a rifle near Branchville Elementary School in Ridgefield, CT. Luckily most students weren’t at school yet so all schools buses were redirected to East Ridge Middle School where students were put in an auditorium. Did Morgan Freeman Say, “Ryan Lanza Did It Because Of The Media” ???
Actually, no. On this thing we call the World Wide Web people love to pretend to be someone that they are not just to make things up. It was no different after the Newton, CT tragedy. Someone took to the Internet and used the likeness of Morgan Freeman to express their views on the Sandy Hook school shooting stating, “You want to know why. This may sound cynical, but here’s why. It’s because of the way the media reports it. Flip on the news and watch how we treat the Batman theater shooter and the Oregon mall shooter like celebrities.” In other words Ryan Lanza committed the crime to become a celebrity. PR people for Freeman tells E! News, “Morgan neither made statements or posted those statements. We are trying to find out who did, but they did not originate from him.” So Mr. Freeman has not publicly mentioned anything on the shooting. My P.O.V. Stop blaming the media people! Well before television and radio, and papers, people were committing crimes and killing folks. It’s no excuse. You do things based off of experience, what you know, and your surroundings. PERIOD.
