Fabolous is not responding to Kendrick’s verse, but Joell and Murda did and so did Papoose of course. Add another Brooklyn MC to the list as the original badass from tha ERA replies. Listen after the jump!

Kendrick forgot about Macklemore. After winning Billboard’s Top Rap Song Award for “Thrift Shop” in May, he takes home the video music award for Best Hip-Hop video. Thanks to “Can’t Hold Us,” Macklemore won a KAWS Moonman (that Drake will have to pay $200 million Canadian dollars to buy from him) against Kendrick [“Swimming Pools (Drank)”], J. Cole [“Power Trip”], A$AP Rocky [“F**kin’ Problems”] and Drake [“Started From the Bottom”]. He also won a KAWS Moonman for Best Video With A Social Message with “Same Love.” See the videos that won after the jump!
Brooklyn native Fabolous came to mind first after hearing Kendrick Lamar claim the “King of New York” title on “Control.” Fab was quick to come at Weezy’s neck on “So NY” after he made an anti-New York statement, but why didn’t he hop on the mic and come back at Kendrick for disrespecting his city? Fabolous was quick to stir up controversy via his Twitter account when he tweeted “Any studios open yet?” after he heard the track but still hasn’t put anything out. Hit the jump and find out what Fab had to say about not responding….yet.
LOL! Papoose is just mad he didn’t get named by Kendrick in “Control”. In an interview, Papoose is interviewed and asked about his “Control” freestyle, as well as his confusing performance at Hot 97’s Summerjam. When asked if Papoose and Kendrick were on good terms, he responded with “If you insult New York we not cool no more.” Damn! Check out what else he said after the jump.
A$AP Mob’s next up A$AP Ferg recently sat down with GQ Magazine to discuss his debut album Trap Lord before it hits stores tomorrow. While talking about the project, his love for fashion, collaborating with Waka Flocka and more, he found time to add a comment about Kendrick Lamar’s verse on “Control.” As you know by now, K. Dot called himself the “King Of New York,” and with Ferg being from there, he would naturally have something to say. Check out his reply below.
