Republican former Secretary of State Colin Powell got his emails hacked this week, and they show some disparaging comments about both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. And a rep for Powell confirms the emails are real, though he offered no further comment.

Colin Powell is an American statesman and a retired four-star general in the United States Army. He was the 65th United States Secretary of State, serving under President George W. Bush from 2001 to 2005. He was the first African American to serve in that position. He was the first, and so far the only, African American to serve on the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Republican and former Secretary of State General Colin Powell is in the news again after he has come out to publicly endorse President Obama in his reelection campaign for the second time with just 12 days to spare before people hit the polls. Back in 2008 conservatives were surprised that Powell decided to back a Democratic candidate, and this time around it doesn’t look like he’s changing things up even though he’s worked under a number of Republican presidents including Ronald Regan and George H.
