Lebron’s homecoming isn’t over already, that’s because it really hasn’t started yet. Despite all the attention during the summer, the job Bron came back to Cleveland to do still awaits him. In another display of how dope technology is, someone went ahead and remixed NBA2K to be nothing but a Lebron homecoming video game clip! As you might expect, the “coming home” song that has become Bron’s personal theme song makes an appearance during the video. Cavs fans has never been more ready for an NBA season.
We knew the homecoming of Lebron back to the Cleveland area was gonna huge on the economy of the city as well but damn! Reports estimate that his return will generate an extra $500 million dollars for the city, which shows literally just how important he is to them. With that said, the Cavs home opener has been sold out for a while and fans are going crazy taking advantage of the situation on the resale market. Some of these ticket prices literally would cost you more than a mortgage. Now obviously those are for the very close seats, but even with that fact to keep in your head, the prices are still mindblowing. What is crazier is there are likely people out there who will pay whatever the price just to see Bron come back. You can forget about a family going to this game, they wouldn’t be able to eat for months. Hit the jump.
When the Cleveland Cavs picked Andrew Wiggins with the first pick in the NBA draft, at the moment the last thing on anyone’s mind would be that he was going to be traded. A couple weeks later Lebron announced he was going to return to the Cavs and everything changed right then and there. Suddenly you started hearing about Kevin Love and it seemed Wiggins would be the odd man out, and he now officially is. With the trade for Love and Wiggins agreed upon and just waiting to the end of the month, fans are wondering about getting their money back for the Wiggins jerseys they bought. The NBA is helping, but it isn’t much help. Hit the jump.
During Team USA Training Camp, reporters got a chance to interview Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving and he explained how he reacted to hearing the news that King James was going to be his teammate. Click the jump to see what he had to say.
Just a short time ago, free agent forward Luol Deng agreed to a two year/$20 million dollar contract to join the Heat. Deng will basically replace Lebron at the same position, although obviously not on the same level. This is still a good signing for the Heat because Deng is no lame on the court and besides the big name free agents teams were after him just as much. The deal includes a option for Deng on the second year if he wanted to again be a free agent. The Heat are doing all they can to still put a solid team on the floor and compete.
