NFL: Bengals Lineman Whitworth Will Pay For Funeral Of Young Player That Died

This is a sad story, and also a good one, if that is even possible. 17 year old Jaleel Gibson died last week during his high school football spring practices in Farmerville, Louisiana. He died when he fractured a vertebrate during some drills. He was kept on life support for several days before the family decided to turn off the machine. Bengals lineman Andrew Whitworth, who does not know the family or the boy at all, reached out to the family and told them he would cover the entire cost of the funeral. A heartwarming part of a tragic story. It seems people still need to really re-think the way high school football players are treated on the field. Not saying at all the coaches are to blame, but maybe we need to stop treating teenage boys like they are grown men. Hopefully soon, stronger restrictions are put into place that can prevent tragedies like this one. Rest in Peace Jaleel.

NFL: Antrel Rolle To AJ Green “You Better Duck”!!

Wide receiver A.J. Green of the Cincinnati seems to have gotten under the skin a little bit of New York Giants safety Antrel Rolle. Green earlier this week made some not so nice comments about the Giants secondary saying there are alot of holes in their defense. It doesn’t sound like Rolle will be asking Green to Sunday brunch before the game. Click the jump and read more below IamJOE357
