Chris Brown Off Probation, Court Closes 2009 Assault Case. Chris Breezy is finally a free man! Well sort of. He has been busy with fatherly duties lately; but he is free from the probation system. Chris Brown was sentenced to 5 years of probation Back In 2009; when he assaulted Bajan princess Rihanna .On Friday a judge found that he had successfully completed his probation.
