The professional football career of Michael Sam appears to be over for good after he took to twitter to explain he is walking away. Sam has been with the Montreal Alouettes since the start of this season but he had already taken a leave of absence to deal with “personal issues”. There were already reports his teammates weren’t feeling him and the treatment he was getting so maybe this is for the best.

The Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League announced Friday that they have signed Sam to a two-year deal. Sam spent parts of last season with the St. Louis Rams and Dallas Cowboys, but did not play a regular-season snap for either team.

Ryan Mouton, who currently plays in the CFL, used to be on the Tennessee Titans and during a game against the Patriots, he helped tackle Aaron Hernandez and his helmet came off.
