Last year’s Skyfall has become the first Bond film to gross more than $1 billion worldwide, and the film marked 50 years of James Bond movies, starting with 1962’s Dr. No.Through 23 films (24 including Sean Connery’s comeback in 1983’s “unofficial” Never Say Never Again), the series has only won two awards: 1964’s Goldfinger and 1965’s Thunderball both picked up wins for Best Effects.
