It’s clear that something was off with Deron Williams this past season. He suffered an ankle injury during preseason but the Nets tried to keep it hush hush and made it seem like no big deal. Throughout the season however Williams suffered lingering pain in both ankles, often receiving cortisone shots to make it through games. Now it is believed Williams will have to undergo double surgery.
