The Philadelphia 76ers are expected to take quite a tumble and be on the bottom of the league standings next year. The team that once showed such promise and defeated the Bulls (albeit without Derrick Rose), has since been gutted (Iguodala gone, Jrue Holiday gone, Bynum a no show & now gone) and now they have a brand new head coach with no head coaching experience. NBA: Brett Brown Urged to Not Take the 76ers’ Head Coaching Job
Many teams were looking to fill their head coach position and with plenty of qualified candidates available many of those jobs were filled quickly, except for the Philadelphia 76ers. The team oddly took it’s time interviewing several candidates before finally offering the job to San Antonio Spurs assistant Brett Brown but the word around the league is that he’s being urged not to take the job.
