Marriage has been the hot topic in Hollywood this week; Nick Cannon revealed he “highly doubts” he’ll ever get married again and Ray J confirmed his engagement to girlfriend Princess Love and while chatting with the ladies on The Real on Thursday (January 14th), Brandy revealed she’s walking a different path than her brother and joining Nick Cannon in opting out of marriage. The 36-year-old actress who’s been engaged twice before dished,

“I’m so satisfied being by myself. I love it. I’ve never taken this much time on myself. I haven’t been on a date in like a year. I just like me right now. I just feel like the way it feels being by myself and taking care of my daughter and just doing my thing. I’m all about my career right now.”

Singer Brandy Norwood will be starring in her own sitcom, “Zoe Ever After” on BET. Brandy who was just the star of the musical “Chicago” is back on TV and is starring in a fictional series about a newly divorced mother embarking on her new life and career as a fledgling cosmetics mogul; but it wasn’t easy. Her ex- husband is not ready to take a back seat in her life, nor is her precocious 10 year old son ready for her dating life! As for the cast of the show we haven’t yet got word back who will be playing her husband or her son but with Brandy being the leading lady I’m sure we will be entertained by whom ever is chosen for the roles.

Brandy on Broadway … I say go girl. Pretty soon, Brandy will be able to add Broadway star to her lengthy resume. The singer/actress is getting ready for her Broadway debut next week. You will soon be able to see Brandy star in one of the longest running Tony Award-winning Broadway Musicals, “Chicago,” in an eight-week revival. Brandy will be starring as Roxie Hart, the infamous and murderous housewife from April 28 to June 21 at the Ambassador Theater. Check out her sneak peek performance from the Today Show below.
