In this weeks box office update, The movie starring Forest Whitaker and Oprah Money Winfrey called the “The Butler” made $25 Million this weekend surpassing all other big budget movies that were expected to do well this weekend and landed at #1. Check out where other movies landed after the jump.

Looking good so far for one of my favorite comic book heroes now turned into a movie “The Wolverine”. If you followed his cartoon character you would know that Wolverine was one of the most interesting and complicated characters of all. This Friday the movie its self pulled in $21 Million to start with expected gross income for the weekend to be $60 Million. Not a bad start. Check out more on this story after the jump.

Good weekend at the box office for “Monster’s University” Which finished in 1st place taking in $82 Million this weekend. But the real surprise came from “World War Z” which came in 2nd place starring Brad Pitt. Check out after the jump how much World War Z took home this weekend.
Box Office Update: Man Of Steel Makes How Much This Weekend???
So there really should be no surprise here but studio executives are really happy with the numbers that “Man of Steel” did this weekend. The movie ended up making $125 Million this weekend. Movie studio execs expected the movie to do between $75 Million and $130 Million. Its safe to say that superman fans came out and held it down for their favorite superhero. Box Office Update: The Purge Shocks Making How Much On Opening Weekend???
We all know how much horror flicks have been sucking as of late. The days of Jason, Freddy, and Chucky are gone. But maybe there is some hope with this new movie “The Purge”. This weekend “The Purge” took in 36.4 Million at the box office. That is big for a horror flick. Even the studio exec’s did not expect it to do so well. I might have to check this out for myself.
