Boris Diaw is one of the more quirky guys in the NBA but he is a very cool guy in his own way. He has a great relationship with his coach, Gregg Popovich and that relationship tends to lead to alot of jokes between them and the rest of the team.
San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich is known for resting his top players even during big games and to the dismay of the league and fans. One player that isn’t getting much rest is Boris Diaw. Tony Parker had a funny explanation as to why.
The Spurs were getting beaten fairly soundly by the Clippers on Saturday, to the point where San Antonio trailed by 14 points as the first half came to a close. That explains Gregg Popovich heading to the locker room before the final buzzer sounded, but that decision ended up putting him in the line of fire of one of his player’s shots — and Boris Diaw did not miss.
Either there was a wet spot on the floor, Dirk needs new sneakers or he’s just getting old and lost a step. Or I could just give Boris Diaw props for improving his foot work as he drove to the basket he dropped Dirk not once, but twice!
Boris Diaw is known for loving food and gaining quite a bit of weight. Diaw however joined the San Antonio Spurs and became a critical part of the championship team. San Antonio also managed to keep him in shape. So how did they do that? Well this incentive surely didn’t hurt.
