After an impressive and record-breaking 9-week run, Drake’s Views has finally been bested from the top spot. The culprit(s) are Blink-182, as the band’s comeback album California debuted at number one this week with 186k units sold. Drizzy follows behind at number two with 117k. Maxwell also had a strong debut this week, coming in at number three with his new project blackSUMMERS’night, selling 59k. Logic and Snoop Dogg didn’t fare as well, however. Logic’s surprise project Bobby Tarantino came in at number 13 with 20k, while Snoop’s Coolaid debuted all the way at 35 with 12k. Sheesh. Drake May Lose His Number One Reign On The Billboard 200 Next Week
This week, Drake officially bested Eminem to hold the record for third-longest consecutive number one hip-hop album. Views reached its ninth week at the top with 111k units sold, beating out Em’s record of 8 weeks with The Marshall Mathers LP. Ahead of Drake now are only Vanilla Ice’s To the Extreme (16 weeks in 1990 and 1991) and MC Hammer’s Please Hammer Don’t Hurt ‘Em (21 weeks in 1990.) Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like he’ll be able to beat Ice or Hammer, as he’s likely about to be dethroned…
(Video) Fan Plummets From Balcony During Blink 182 L.A. Show!!
Jesus take the wheel! A fan was rushed to the hospital, after falling off the balcony during Blink 182’s sold out concert at Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. According to witnesses, the fan fell face first into the crowd as the band performed “Dammit”. The fall was approximately a 15-20 foot drop. To see news footage from the scene, click below.
