It’s lit. The duo rap group giving us the iconic “The Choice Is Yours” is going back on tour for their critically acclaimed album “A Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing”.
Well, it looks like Kanye West has been the topic of everyone’s discussion these past couple of days. In an attempt to question the state of hip-hop music and the messages being sent by our most elite artists, rapper Dres of Black Sheep fame took to his Twitter to question the motives and music of one Kanye West. While we doubt Kanye would respond, seeing as he recently let folks know he’s not looking for outside opinions anymore, Dres just happened to make some really interesting points. The Choice Is Yours (Revisited) is a single featured on the Native Tongues Posse affiliate Black Sheep’s debut album, A Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing. The song samples “Keep on Doin’ It” by The New Birth, “Her Favorite Style” by Iron Butterfly, “Big Sur Suite” by Johnny Hammond Smith, “Impressions” by McCoy Tyner, and “I’d Say It Again” by Sweet Linda Divine. In 2008, “The Choice is Yours” was ranked number #73 on VH1’s 100 Greatest Hip Hop Songs Everyday at 5pm we post a classic video that meant something in hip hop..
