In a real life example of the pot calling the kettle black, Sheryl Underwood made disrespectful remarks about natural hair that infuriated not only the black natural hair community, but women of all races. Since then Underwood has been scorned by the masses and called an “Uncle Tom” and a “Coon.” Now she is publicly apologizing to all whom she has offended, and is doing so in her own natural afro that she debuted on live television. WHOA! Art Exhibit Lets Strangers Do WHAT To Women’s Hair ?!
It’s an understood rule among black women that it is impolite to walk up and stick your hand in someone’s hair without permission. But a new art exhibit in New York is breaking the rules. In something like a social experiment three black women, one with loose, curly natural hair, one with locks and another with a relaxer, stood on a corner holding signs that read “You Can Touch My Hair.” pretty interesting you say? Though the red hair was super dope on Snooki (above), I know from experience just how hard it is to maintain! The color washes out after just a few washes, and as a busy reality star/business owner/mommy AND wifey, in the words of Ms. Sweet Brown: “ain’t nobody got time fa that!” That being said, Snooki has switched up the do, adding bangs and going with the much more easier to maintain color, black. Hair, that is. The singer has gone from blonde to platinum blonde to some rainbow situation and now, finally back to his roots. He’s also let it grow a bit and his curls are getting their shine on as well. Which ‘do is your favorite on Breezy? It should be noted that this was his hair color back when he was dating Rihanna, and the pair have showed some obvious signs of a reconciliation on the horizon lately, the biggest being their kiss at the VMA’s. Since then, they’ve refollowed each other on Twitter (remember their little falling out?
