New Bird Flu Strain Infects 20, Kills 6

A new strain of the H7N9 virus has infected 20 people in China thus far. Six people have died due to infection of the bird flu. So far there is no evidence to show that the flue is being spread easily from person to person. In order for someone to contract the bird flu, the must come in direct contact with an infected fowl. Hopefully the bird flu can be contained and not become an epidemic like last time. Read more below.


Man In China Dies From Bird Flu!

A man in China has died as a result of the bird flu. The flu virus claimed the lives of hundreds of people back in 2006 and this summer the United Nations warned that a second epidemic could occur. The man is the first to have any reported symptoms of the virus and authorities are working hard to find out where the man contacted the virus. Scientist Develop New Strain Of The Bird Flu/Avian Influenza That Could Kill Millions

Researchers in the Netherlands studying H5N1 commonly referred to as the bird flu or avian influenza are trying to wipe out the human race have created man’s worst enemy. The virus has infected more than 500 people in more than a dozen countries and is known to kill around 60 percent of those that become infected.
