(Video) New Trailer Of Michel’le’s Biopic Depicts Domestic Violence With Dr. Dre

The success of Straight Outta Compton opened the door for many other biopics, even more so for additional storylines related to N.W.A. Singer Michel’le falls into the latter category, and her biopic will make its debut on Lifetime next month. Surviving Compton will tell the story of the singer/songwriter, detailing her tumultuous relationships with both Dr. Dre (with whom she shares a son) and his enemy, Suge Knight. The newest trailer has been released, and it looks like they’re holding nothing back! Check it out below and let us know your thoughts.

Birdman & Slim Reveal Plans For Potential Cash Money Biopic

Cash Money Records may be getting the Straight Outta Compton treatment soon. While talking to students at Brooklyn Law School yesterday, Cash Money founders Birdman and Slim revealed that a script already exists, and they’re looking forward to bringing it to life. “[Slim] said everything we’ve ever did – and I got 20 plus years selling records – nothing we ever did is worth more than that script, I’m excited about the script,” Birdman told the panel’s moderator. “That’s something I really want to do. For [Dr. Dre and Ice Cube] to do that [movie] and to make it trend-setting, they opened doors for us, and I think that what we have is way more special because we’re in modern times.” Slim noted that he “wasn’t sure” if there was a possibility of it becoming a book first and then a screenplay, but either way, he says, it’s “gonna be great.” I’m here for this! (Photos) Check Out The Cast On Set Of The ‘Dogg Pound 4 Life’ Biopic!

Looks like these guys are wasting no time! After the success of Straight Outta Compton, it got the wheels turning on more biopics, and one of the first to be thrown into the pot was Dogg Pound 4 Life. Daz Dillinger wanted to pick up where Straight Outta Compton left off and dive deeper into the storylines of himself, Snoop Dogg, Tha Dogg Pound and more, and he has since assembled his cast to begin shooting. They do not have funding or a production home yet, however, so there is no guarantee this will make it to the silver screen. As previously reported, Dr. Dre’s son Curtis Young will be portraying his father. None of the cast of SOC will join, though they did reportedly get Cube’s blessing to go ahead with the flick. As for the rest of the cast: Daz is played by Azad Arnaud, Suge Knight is played by Reggie Noble, The Lady of Rage will reportedly play herself, Tupac played by DaDa and Kurupt played by Melvin Jackson Jr. from The Wire. Last night, the group recorded their first scene at an LA recording studio, where Suge, Tupac and Daz record “Ambitionz Az a Ridah,” and “I Ain’t Mad at Cha” in a 24-hour period.
