Last night, twitter was on fire with the happenings of television. If you weren’t tuned into the Revolt TV launch then, CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story you were most likely watching. The ups and downs of the top selling female group was plastered on screens all around the world. Clearly, everything that the group had been through wasn’t jammed into the 2hr biopic [like when they appeared in House Party 3 – My ish!] but, we saw how TLC was roped into hard work and NO pay! Jamie Foxx To Portray Martin Luther King Jr. In New Biopic?!
I’m excited about this TLC biopic coming this month, but this one I could also see happening! Jamie Foxx is an extraordinary actor, and for him to step his game up and take on a character such as Martin Luther King Jr. would only amplify his career. It’s being said that Jamie will portray MLK in a biopic directed by Oliver Stone. DreamWorks/Warner Bros. hasn’t etched this in stone [pun intended], but I have my fingers crossed. Ladies ladies ladies…Usher is looking great! This long-time singer has landed a few movie roles in his career, and he’s always stayed fit – he’s combining the two. Usher was cast to play Sugar Ray in a new biopic, and his workout regimen is a massive one – that’s obviously working. He graces the cover of, Men’s Health and goes over the preperation of the role stating, “My commitment to this character demands that I not only physically get ready, but also become him…He’s an incredible man.” The “You Got It Bad” crooner also expresses how he pushes the limits, “I rode there [gym]. Boxed. Rode the bike back home [10 miles]. Mentally, I’m the type of person who can ignore the pain.” Well, while you ignore the pain, the gentleman can take some pointers and us ladies will pay close attention to your pecks! Tupac Biopic Officially In The Works
His rap rival Biggie got a biopic in 2008, and finally, Tupac Shakur will be getting his own as well. The film, simply titled Tupac, will be backed by Morgan Creek Productions and Emmett Furla Films, with his mother Afeni Shakur as executive producer. The film is reportedly budgeted at $45 million, and is set to begin filming in Atlanta sometime in 2014. Oh, and they have the rights to Pac’s ENTIRE music catalog. This should be dope! I wonder if they’ll tap Anthony Mackie to portray him on the silver screen once again?
